SHORTLISTED FOR THE TES SCHOOLS AWARDS 2021

Friday 14 May 2021
The most outstanding individuals and institutions that the education sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the Tes Schools Awards 2021.
It’s been revealed that Beacon Business Innovation Hub has been shortlisted for the Alternative Provision School of the Year award.

Principal, Trevor Button, said: “It’s an amazing achievement. 2019/20 was a special year in the School’s history. We achieved a Good Ofsted report and our best ever outcomes. Furthermore, throughout lockdown, our staff continued to provide outstanding support for all of our vulnerable learners. The nomination is a reflection of the commitment and hard work of all our staff and students as well as the continued support of our Trust, The Beacon Multi-Academy Trust and our family of schools”.

Tes editor Jon Severs said: “It is more important this year than ever before to celebrate the fantastic work schools do, because in the past 12 months they have gone above and beyond to ensure pupils were able to be educated and be kept safe in extraordinary circumstances. We were inundated with entries that demonstrated just how hard the pandemic made the work of schools, and just how amazing the response from staff has been. We are looking forward to showcasing, as we do every year, just how vital our education professionals are to every facet of this country. ”
The event will take place online with winners announced on Friday 25 June 2021.
