This July, a group of lucky students had the fantastic opportunity to attend the world-famous Wimbledon Championships. The trip, organised by Mr. Whitten, gave students a chance to witness world-class tennis in one of sport’s most iconic venues.
From the moment we stepped onto the grounds of the All England Club, there was a buzz of excitement in the air. The students were thrilled to explore the beautiful courts, sample the legendary strawberries and cream, and most importantly, watch some top-tier tennis action live. We were fortunate enough to watch two separate high-profile matches, with players showing incredible skill, power, and sportsmanship.
For many students, it was their first live experience of professional tennis, and it left a lasting impression.
The trip wasn’t just about sport – it also offered a valuable cultural experience. Wimbledon is steeped in tradition and history, and the students gained a real appreciation for the event’s global significance.
A huge thank you too Ms Burack for coming along on the day and too the students who were excellent with their behaviour and manner at the venue.
